Hey there! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little bit about who I am!
I was born and raised in Salem, Oregon, where early on I was immersed in a faith-centered environment. At a young age, a personal understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ became the foundation for my life as a Christian. My commitment to serving others began early—volunteering in my church, particularly serving in youth ministry, and at summer camp as a teenager.
I pursued formal ministry training at college through Reach Training Institute, an extension of Crown College (MN), and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry in 2019, after having relocated to Redding California the summer of 2018 to begin my pastoral residency. That same year as graduating I was ordained in the Christian and Missionary Alliance as a Minister as a Minister. In 2020, I completed a Master’s in Christian Studies with an emphasis in International Ministry. While in Redding, I served in a wide range of pastoral and administrative roles at Pathway Church—from Senior high ministry intern, communications and marketing, graphic design, facilities, marriage and family, and young adult & careers ministry. Notably I held interim positions as Senior High Pastor and Interim Communications Director, and most recently served as Assistant Pastor of Connection for before sensing a change in life and a new chapter beginning in my story.
In the summer of 2025, I moved to Norfolk, Virginia, to be closer to family down in Orlando FL (we’re huge Disney fans) and to live in community with close friends as a single gay Christian pursuing celibacy and a historical belief of Christian marriage. I am passionate about helping teens and young adults, including LGBTQ+ individuals, see that life as a Christian can be exciting and fulfilling as followers of Christ and thrive in life.
I’ve recently begun transitioning into the vocation of education, pursuing becoming a Visual Arts teacher for secondary education. As of August of 2025 I began the Career Switcher program through Shenandoah University, and will receive my certificate of completion later this year. Simultaneously I have stepped back into the school work environment as a paraprofessional.
Alongside teaching, I am also excited to focus on developing my own technical skills, artistic style, and creative voice as an artist, as a passion that is ready to be rekindled. Just as I am passionate about my faith, and art, I also am passionate about investing into the life of teenagers. I hope in this next chapter of life to help students grow not only in their artistic abilities, but also in their confidence, identity, and sense of purpose in life while being a teacher.
